This is one of the first essays I wrote during my university degree. Honestly, a lot of the essays I wrote in my first year were pretty boring and didn’t have much creativity in my opinion. I remember doing very well on this essay, my biggest struggle was the page count – only two. That is something I continue to struggle with to this day.
This essay was written for ENGL 1016: Introduction to English Literature in History and Culture. It’s a simple compare-contrast piece between Christopher Marlowe’s “The Passionate Shepherd to His Love” and Walter Raleigh’s “The Nymph’s Reply to the Shepherd.”
